KOHL’S is a major U.S. retail chain with more than 1,100 stores and demanding packaging standards. In 2025, UNI-PACK’s manufacturing partner in Hai Duong ran a polo shirt and T-shirt program for KOHL’S with three packing formats: ECOM (single units for e-commerce), PREPACK (multi-size sets for stores) and BULK (large quantities for distribution centers).
Three challenges
- High volume concentrated in peak season – cartons and poly bags had to arrive in time for every shipment.
- Three different specifications – ECOM, PREPACK and BULK each had their own labeling and size requirements.
- Certification requirement – cartons had to be FSC-certified.
How UNI-PACK delivered
- Three dedicated carton designs – small ECOM boxes with easy-open lids, mid-size PREPACK boxes with size dividers, large BULK boxes printed with warehouse barcodes.
- Certified materials – FSC-certified corrugated board, produced within the scope of UNI-PACK’s FSC Chain-of-Custody certificate.
- Three-layer QC – incoming paper inspection, flexo color checks against Pantone references, and finished-goods inspection by lot (1 lot = 1 PO).
